| Unconditional Love
Last year for Father's Day I did the usual and bought my hubby a card (from the kids), but misplaced it before the actual day. I didn't have time to go and get another one, so I suggested the kids make him one from themselves. They started telling me that it wouldn't be perfect because it wasn't from the shops etc. I sat them down and explained that their dad would be thrilled if they made it themselves, because they were all special to him and no-one else in the world would have cards like him. They looked at each other and quickly got to work on their "masterpieces". They were very nervous when they handed over their cards, but the looks on their little faces when their dad gave them all a hug and told them he'd treasure them forever was priceless. I asked my eldest what he thought about it all, and he told me that he was happy we'd lost the original card because they'd all made their dad smile fr om something they had done themselves.
